On Tuesday, December 10th, the Northern Community Centre was buzzing with excitement as the third-place Korah Colts took on the fourth-place St. Mary’s Knights in an action-packed matchup in the Sault Ste. Marie High School Boys Hockey League. The game showcased the competitive nature of the league, as both teams fought hard for a crucial victory. The Colts dominated the ice with a 6-0 shutout win, highlighting their offensive firepower and defensive strength throughout the game. The Knights struggled to find their rhythm, despite Grant Mathewson’s solid efforts in net.
Colton Greene played a pivotal role in the Colts’ victory, registering three assists to help his team find the back of the net. Koen Manchulenko was a standout, scoring two goals, while Ethan Ferguson and Griffin Albert each contributed with a goal and an assist. Deago Champagna sealed the deal with the final goal of the game. Kylan Roy was exceptional in goal for the Colts, earning his second shutout of the season and keeping the Knights off the scoreboard. The win allowed Korah to extend their position in third place while the Knights will look to regroup ahead of their next challenge.
