23 figure skaters represented the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club (LSFSC) at the LSFSC Skate Ontario Provincial Series competition this weekend in Sault Ste Marie. LSFSC hosted clubs from all over the province, it was a big event with upwards of 19 clubs in attendance and over 120 athletes. There were several qualifying events for skaters hoping to qualify for Provincials in March, 2024.
Those qualifying events included Star 5 – Gold as well as Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile. The competition also included non-qualifying events for skaters from Star 1-5. The competition also included Skate Ontario Adult figure skating
events.
This was the Club’s second competition of the season and Head Coach, Kerry Bain, was very pleased with the results from all skaters. “Our athletes have been working very hard and it showed in their results. Many personal best scores were achieved. Our skaters are looking forward to the next two Provincial qualifiers before the final Provincial Championship held March 22nd”.
