In a high-scoring Sault Ste. Marie High School Hockey League matchup on Friday, December 6th, the third-place St. Mary’s Knights claimed a hard-fought 5-4 victory over the fifth-place White Pines Wolverines. Gioia led the charge for the Knights, scoring a hat trick, while McPherson and Juma each added a goal to secure the win. For the Wolverines, Pine and Wyslocky each found the back of Dubois’ net with one goal apiece, and Holzwarth contributed with two goals. Despite a strong offensive showing from the Wolverines, St. Mary’s goaltender Dubois allowed four goals, while White Pines’ Bouchard faced five goals in the loss.
