Coming off an 8 – 2 win to open the 2022 portion of the Sault Ste Marie High School Hockey League season, the St Mary’s Knights took to the ice on Friday, February 25th to take on the Korah Colts. The Colts were coming off a 5 – 3 win on February 24th over the Superior Heights Steelhawks.

With an unassisted goal at 2:48 of the second period, Kaylob Thibodeau finds the back of Knight goaltender Jaxon Alexander to give Korah a 1 – 0 lead. Ronan Provenzano gives Korah a 2 – 0 lead with 3:57 remaining in the game with Nathan Keranen and Cole Arruda notching the contributors on Provenzano’s goal. With Jaxon Alexander on St Mary’s bench for an extra attacker, Carter Benka secures a 3 – 0 shutout win with a Knight empty unassisted goal.

The Knights and Colts will face off at the Memorial Gardens in a Sunday, February 27th matchup at 8:00 p.m.
