Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta’s Maeco De Cremer Commits to Algoma Thunderbird Men’s Soccer Program

Algoma University Varsity Athletics announced Monday, March 22nd that Maeco De Cremer has committed to the Thunderbird Men’s Soccer program for the 2021 – 2022 season.

Maeco hails from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and attends Salisbury Composite High School. He is a member of the Sherwood Park Phoenix soccer club and plays in the midfield/forward. Maeco has played soccer for 13 years.

Maeco will be studying in the four year Law & Justice program at Algoma U.

Head Coach of Thunderbird Men’s Soccer Sam Medaglia says: “Maeco will be great addition to the squad being able to use both feet, comfortably, We can utilize his ability on either side of the field. We’re looking forward to have Maeco playing out wide providing ball service to our strikers.”

Maeco says: “I am looking forward to attending Algoma university and working towards a Law & Justice degree to further my progression of becoming a lawyer. I am excited to have the opportunity to play soccer for the Thunderbirds as well as gaining new experiences on and off the field.”
