Algoma OUA Thunderbirds Add Favour to their Roster for 2021/2022

The Algoma OUA Thunderbirds have added 6’2” Grand Prairie, Alberta’s Favour Adekojo to their 2021 – 2022 men’s program in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

Favour Adekojo is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts and Psychology program at Algoma University. Adekojo is coming from the University of Lethbridge.

Coach Etienne Jacquet told Saultsports that “I am happy to announce that we will have Favour Adekojo transfer from the University of Lethbridge, and join the Algoma Thunderbirds men’s basketball program. Favour, will bring athleticism and a defensive mindset to our program. The Grand Prairie product as already contributed to a USports program and comes to us knowing what it takes to perform at university level. With his USport experience he will be a great addition to our young core of players.”

Favour Adekojo told Saultsports that “I chose the OUA Thunderbirds because of the culture I was informed was going to be built within the team, I’m here to win and coach EJ assured me that’s what what we intend to do. I plan to bring great energy on the defensive end and play whatever role I’m asked to on the offensive end and also develop my offensive skills through the season.”

“In addition, will definitely fit our vision of having players wanting to reach the next level both on and off the court. Favour is an open-minded individual that wants to learn and develop his basketball skills. We look to have Favour be part of our program until he completes his arts degree in psychology,” added Jacquet.
