Algoma Jr Thunderbird and 705 basketball is back for the 2022 fall season three different basketball programs available in Mini Jr. Thunderbirds for girls and boys in grades 3-5, Jr. Thunderbirds Development for girls in grades 6/7/8, and the 705 Basketball League for girls and boys in grades 5-8.
. Coaches and referees will be Algoma Women’s and Men’s Varsity basketball players.
Mini Jr. Thunderbirds Grades 3-5 (BOYS & GIRLS)
The Mini Jr. Thunderbirds is for both girls & boys and will be coached by our varsity women’s basketball players & coaches. The focus will be fundamental skills & movements as well as creating a safe & fun environment.
Where: George Leach Center
Day/Time: Tuesdays 4:00 p.m – 5:30 p.m
Cost: $150 (10 Sessions, 15 hrs)
Dates: Sept. 20, 27 – Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 – Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22
Jr. Thunderbirds Development (Girls – Grades 6/7/8)
Our goal is to develop individual & team fundamental basketball skills through a variety of drills, small sided games & competition. A focus as always will be having the participants having fun and enjoying the game of basketball!! This development session is for girls only.

Days/Times: Monday & Wednesday 4:00 p.m- 5:30 p.m
Cost: $275 ( 20 Sessions, 30 hrs )

705 LEAGUE
705 BASKETBALL IS BACK!!!
This will be an eight week Fall Basketball League for girls & boys in grades 5-8. We will group kids into teams and play games on a set schedule. There will be two divisions grades 5/6 & 7/8. We blast the music and allow the kids to play games all while creating a fun & safe environment. Parents are welcome to come watch all the games. Coaches & referees will be varsity women’s & men’s Algoma basketball players/coaches. Come join the FUN!!!!
Cost: $75
Where: George Leech Center (Two Basketball Courts)
Dates: SUNDAYS: Sept. (18,25) – Oct. (2,16,30) – Nov. (6,13,20)
Time: Anytime between 5:00 p.m- 8:00 p.m
*Note 1 hour games per player & team
*Times could be added depending on participates
*All participates receive a 705 T-shirt
