The sixth ranked St. Mary’s Knights (Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics) of Sault Ste. Marie kicked off the 2024 Senior ‘AA’ OFSAA Championships in North Bay, Ontario with a commanding 47-15 victory over 16th ranked les Flames de Thériault (North East Ontario Athletic Association) from Timmins, Ontario.
The Knights displayed strong team play, with standout performances from several players. Abby Jaremko led the charge with an impressive 22 points, while Tru Toms contributed nine points to the win. Sienna Magli also made her mark, scoring six points in the dominant performance.
The victory set a positive tone for St. Mary’s as they looked to continue their successful run at the 2024 Senior ‘AA’ OFSAA Championships when they meet number one ranked Oakville, Ontario’s Kings Christian Collegiate Cavaliers (Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference) on Friday, November 22nd with a tipoff time of 10:00 a.m).
