Our Jr. Thunderbirds development programs will be organized a little different for the FALL & WINTER sessions. We will be focusing on only individual development/training with our varsity players & coaches and there will be no travel teams associated. We will be focused on flexibility, cost efficiency and individual player development.
Each hoop (4) will have a coach dedicated to it and individuals will be grouped by age. We will be able to have a minimum of an 8:1 ratio (participates: coaches). Participates will be able to connect with our Varsity athletes consistently throughout the sessions.
The Junior Thunderbirds Basketball Development Program’s goal is to enhance & improve players’ individual skill levels through fundamentals & quality instruction & coaching, while establishing a positive and enriching environment based on teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. In the older age groups there will be a focus on individual skills, team concepts and strategies through a variety of drills, small sided games & competition; whereas in the younger age groups the focus will be fundamental movements and individual skills.
Both our varsity basketball programs are eager to help teach and share their love for the game of basketball. This is a great opportunity to be coached, mentored by our USPORTS athletes.
