The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday, December 1st that Nolan Newton (Greater Sudbury Cubs); Braedyn Cyr (Timmins Rock); Frédéric Cousineau, (Timmins Rock) and Gavin Killoran (Soo Thunderbirds) have named its Forward; Orendorff & Associates Defenceman; Goaltender and Rookie of the Month, respectively, for November.
FORWARD: Nolan Newton, Greater Sudbury Cubs – Topping all NOJHL skaters in offensive production last month, the 19-year-old Newton piled up 25 points in just nine outings for the Cubs.
The French River product scored nine times, including notching a pair of hat tricks and a game-winner, while dishing out 16 assists, where he aided on a trio of deciding tallies.
Entering December, Newton leads Greater Sudbury in scoring and sits third overall in the NOJHL with 49 points in 23 contests. He also leads the league in power play markers with 10; shares first in game-winning goals at five and has only been held pointless on three occasions.

DEFENCEMAN: Braedyn Cyr, Timmins Rock – Fulfilling his role at both ends of the ice, Cyr’s contributions helped the Rock go a perfect 8-0-0-0 in November as well as run an overall winning streak to 11.
The Rock captain also dished out 11 assists in the time frame, two of which were on game-winners, while on the defensive end aided in his club allowing only 14 goals-against in their eight outings last month.
Hailing from Oakville, Ontario, the 20-year-old Cyr has moved up into a tie for fifth in scoring among NOJHL defencemen on 18 points in 23 games with his two markers and 16 helpers.

GOALTENDER: Frédéric Cousineau, Timmins Rock – Picking up the win in each of his four appearances, Cousineau did his part in helping Timmins go unbeaten in November.
The 20-year-old netminder from Malartic, Quebec had a league-low 1.48 goals-against average, among those who saw a minimum of 100 minutes of game action, and also led the way in save percentage as well at .952.
Having come away victorious in each of his past seven starts, where he has only allowed 10 pucks to get past him, Cousineau has moved up to second in the NOJHL in overall wins at 10.

ROOKIE: Gavin Killoran, (F) Soo Thunderbirds – A solid month saw the first-year Thunderbirds’ forward lead all rookies in goals with 10, featuring a game-winner as past of a four-tally effort against Espanola on Nov.28.
Overall, Killoran pick up 13 points in 11 contests for his hometown Sault Ste. Marie side, where he scored at least once in six of those matchups.
The skilled 17-year-old is No. 2 in scoring among NOJHL rookies on 23 points while his 11 markers have him sharing second.
