After falling 6 – 1 to open the 2022 CJHL National Championship Centennial Cup in Estevan, Saskatchewan on Thursday, May 19th, the NOJHL champions, the Soo Thunderbirds take to the ice on Friday, May 20th against the Maritime Hockey League Summerside Western Capitals in a 6:00 p.m puck drop. Summerside are the 2022 Maritime Junior Hockey League title holders, after the they defeated the Truro Bearcats, four games to one, in the MHL final.
