The Algoma Thunderbird Wrestling team were on the road over the November 1st and 2nd weekend to partake in the McMaster Invitational in Hamilton, Ontario. The team did very well in this early competition. The event drew over 250 wrestlers from across Canada and the United States.

Head Coach of Algoma Thunderbird Wrestling Trevor Manchester said: “Our team had a great opening performance for the season. The first years showed that they can compete at this level and made an early impact. Overall, placing 3rd as a team and taking home 6 medals is one of our top performances, so the future looks bright for Algoma wrestling.”
The Wrestling team’s will be competing next Saturday, November 8th when they partake in the York Invitational.
