Over 250 players, coaches and managers, as well as their families, travelled to Grand Rapids, Michigan over the August 18th to August 20th weekend to compete in the Grand Rapids Cup and represented our program and our city like only Saultites can.
Our Junior United program captured 5 titles and a Gold Division Finalist honour. All of the participants who played their hearts out in the 30+ degree heat.
Grand Rapids Jr United Gold Medal Winners
- 2015 Jr United Boys Thunder (undefeated) – Coach – Eugene Pagliaro
- 2014 Jr United Girls Lightning (undefeated) – Coach Paolo Demarco (only female team to win age group)
- 2014 Jr United Boys Thunder (undefeated) – Coach Chris Siegman
- 2012 Jr United Boys Thunder and Lightning – Co-Gold Medal Recipients – Coaches Steve Mazzuca and Brad Slagel (this is the 2nd tournament in a row this group had both entered teams make the tournament finals)
- 2011 Jr United Boys Thunder – Coach Jeff Diluzio Grand Rapids Jr United Finalists
- 2014 Jr United Boys Lightning – Gold Division Finalist – Coach Dave Culina

- 2011 Jr United Girls went undefeated in round robin play – did not progress to final due to tie breaking rules – Coach Marcel Giordano
- 2015 Jr United Girls went 2-1 in round robin in their first ever tournament defeating one of the teams that advanced to the finals – Coach Jessica Boniferro
