Over the March 18th to 20th weekend, the Soo U14AAA Greyhounds headed to Sudbury, Ontario to take part in the 2022 NOHA Championships. The Greyhounds were joined by the Sudbury Nickel Capitals, Sudbury Nickel City Sons, and the North Bay Trappers. The winner of the 2022 championships will be granted a spot in the inaugural U14 OHL Cup hosted in Oakville, Ontario from April 14 – 16.
The inaugural event is hosted in partnership with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), in partnership with the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) that will be comprised of 12 U14 tier one, also referred to as AAA teams, from across the province and will include the top teams from Ontario. Teams from OMHA (Champion, Finalist, 3rd Place Team), GTHL (Champion, Finalist, 3rd Place Team), Alliance (Champion, Finalist), HEO (Champion, Finalist), and the NOHA (Champion, Finalist).
