The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday, October 12th that the forward trio of Ryder Hill (Blind River Beavers); Mason Brownlee (Kirkland Lake Gold Miners) and Adam Pszeniczny (Soo Thunderbirds) have been named its 3 Stars of the Week, for the period ending October 11.

Ryder Hill, (F) Blind River Beavers: Hill amassed 10 points during the time frame helping Blind River collect a trio of wins in four outings.

This included Hill notching four goals, featuring a pair of game-winners, and dishing our six assists.

Now a veteran of 100 NOJHL games, the 20-year-old Appleton, Wisconsin product, who played previously in the Madison Capitols AAA system, currently sits tied for second in league scoring with 19 points.

Mason Brownlee, (F) Kirkland Lake Gold Miners: A hectic five-game week for the Gold Miners, which were all played away from Kirkland Lake, saw Brownlee average just over a point-per-game.

In all, Brownlee banged in five markers, starting with a shorthanded game-winner, and aided on another in helping his side go 4-1 last week.

Hailing from Englehart, Ontario, the 20-year-old, who is an alumnus of the U18 AAA New Liskeard Cubs of the Great North Hockey League, tops the Gold Miners in tallies on the campaign with seven.

Adam Pszeniczny, (F) Soo Thunderbirds: The 17-year-old’s efforts helped Sault Ste. Marie collect seven of a possible eight points in the league standings.

Taking to the ice in four games, Pszeniczny scored five times, including collecting a deciding marker, in pacing the T-Birds in pucks put into the net.

Coming to the Thunderbirds from another hometown organization, the Soo U16 AAA Greyhounds, Pszeniczny enters play later in the week tied for the NOJHL-lead in goals with 10 and is well on his way to surpassing the 20 tallies he had last season with the Thunderbirds.
