Saultsports TV and SMHA Extend Partnership for Soo U16/U18 Greyhounds Home Game Broadcasts

The Sault Major Hockey Association and Saultsports TV are proud to announce the extension of their successful partnership to continue streaming Soo U16 and U18 Greyhounds GNU18HL home games for the upcoming season.

The renewed agreement ensures that fans, families, scouts, alumni, and supporters across Northern Ontario and beyond will continue to have access to live coverage of Greyhounds hockey through Saultsports TV’s growing digital platform.

Since the partnership began, the broadcasts have helped showcase the high level of talent within the Greyhounds program while providing increased visibility for student-athletes competing in the GNU18HL. The continued collaboration reflects a shared commitment to growing the game locally and creating greater exposure opportunities for young athletes in Sault Ste. Marie.

“This partnership has become an important part of promoting our players, teams, and organization,” said a representative from the Saultsports TV owner Jay Houslander. “Having our games streamed allows family members, fans, and scouts to stay connected while giving our athletes additional recognition both locally and across the hockey community.”

Saultsports TV has continued to expand its local sports coverage throughout the region, with youth and amateur sports becoming a major focus of the platform’s programming. The extension with the SMHA further strengthens that commitment.

“We’re excited to continue working alongside the Sault Major Hockey Association,” said Jay Houslander from Saultsports TV. “Youth hockey continues to generate tremendous community support, and we’re proud to help bring these games to viewers while highlighting the next generation of hockey talent in Northern Ontario.”

The broadcasts will continue to feature live game coverage, commentary, interviews, and promotional content surrounding the Soo U16 and U18 Greyhounds programs throughout the GNU18HL season.

More information regarding schedules, broadcasts, and streaming details will be announced prior to the start of the season through Saultsports TV and SMHA social media platforms.
