Each hoop will have a coach dedicated to it and individuals will be grouped by age. We will be able to have a minimum of an 8:1 ratio (participants to coaches). Participants will be able to connect with our varsity athletes consistently throughout the sessions.
The Junior Thunderbirds Basketball Development Program’s goal is to enhance & improve players’ skill levels through fundamentals & quality instruction & coaching while establishing a positive and enriching environment based on teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun. In the older age groups, there will be a focus on individual skills, team concepts, and strategies through a variety of drills, small-sided games & competitions; whereas in the younger age groups, the focus will be on fundamental movements and individual skills.
Both our varsity basketball programs are eager to help teach and share their love for the game of basketball. This is a great opportunity to be coached, and mentored by our USPORTS athletes.
