Algoma University Varsity Athletics announced Thursday, February 11 that Alexander Burt has committed to the Thunderbird Men’s Soccer program for the 2021-22 season.
Alexander, a goal keeper from Pickering, Ontario and has been playing competitive soccer for nine years. He is a member of the Master’s Futbol Academy.
Alexander will be studying in the four year Business Administration program at Algoma U.
Head Coach of Thunderbird Men’s Soccer Sam Medaglia says: “Alex is a very sound, technical keeper. At 6″2 and 175 lbs, I see Alex as an integral recruit who will use his size to his advantage.”
Alexander says: “I chose Algoma U because of the great opportunity that they are providing for me to get a business degree as well as place to play competitive soccer. Coach Sam worked hard to convince me to join the Thunderbirds program. He really made me feel wanted and is why I decided to commit Algoma U.”
