The Korah Colts senior basketball program started out strong at the Gabor Boys Basketball Tournament in North Bay on Friday, December 2nd winning their first two games against West Ferris and Algonquin.
Korah Colts (62) vs (31) West Ferris Trojans
In game one, the West Ferris Trojans took a 3-0 lead early, but a 12-2 run by the Colts put Korah up 15-5 at the end of the first quarter, and the Colts never looked back. Led offensively by Ewan Hemsworth (20) and Jacob Brown (15), the Colts outscored the Trojans 23-11 in the second on their way to a convincing 62-31 win. Ethan Scott (9) and Erik Martone (6) also chipped in offensively for the Colts in the win.

In the second game of the day, Korah led wire to wire, winning 57-37 over the Algonquin Barons. The Colts jumped out to an early lead, and took a 29-22 lead into halftime.
The second half saw Algonquin battle, but a strong inside game in the third quarter led by Brown (16) and Hemsworth (14) were too much for the Barons, who took their second loss of the day. Martone (11) and Ty Beaupre (8) shared point guard duty, while Scott (7) also contributed offensively.
