The Golf for Goals Classic, a community driven golf tournament with heart, is set to take place on Sunday, September 7th at Silver Creek Golf Course.
This 18-hole tournament is more than just a day on the greens! This inaugural event brings together sport, community and charity in support of KidSport SSM and the U10AA Soo Jr Greyhounds. 30% of proceeds will be donated to KidSport SSM and 70% of proceeds will go to the U10AA Soo Jr Greyhounds.
KidSport SSM is a local chapter of KidSport Ontario and their mission is to ensure that ALL kids can play by eliminating the financial barriers that prevent many families from enrolling their kids in organized athletics. KidSport SSM will use the funds raised to assist with registration fees and equipment costs for families enrolling their children in sport – from soccer to hockey to basketball and more! Every year families can apply to receive up to $500 per child to assist in fees associated with sport registration and equipment costs. In addition to supporting KidSport SSM, this event is also an opportunity to foster community spirit and charitable awareness among the young athletes of the U10AA Soo Jr Greyhounds. The U10AA Soo Jr Greyhounds will use their portion of raised funds to cover equipment, travel costs and additional training associated with AA level of hockey. This is the first year these players are eligible to compete at the AA level and they are excited to see where this journey takes them. They have years of growth and lessons ahead of them and as part of the tournament the team is first learning the value of giving back and supporting others, foundational lessons that extend FAR beyond the ice.

The Golf for Goals Classic is currently accepting team registrations (teams of four) and is actively seeking corporate sponsors to ensure the success of this impactful event.
