Algoma Thunderbird men’s basketball program announces the addition to their 2021 – 2022 OUA roster with forward Robin Michael Kniss coming to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

Robin Michael Kniss will be studying in the four year Engineering program at Algoma University.

“After talking with Coach Etienne and seeing his previous achievements I was immediately convinced that getting trained by him will bring my basketball game to another level. As for academics, it is important for me to attend a school that will help me reach my goals academically. I always was interested in an engineering program. Since I heard that Algoma University has a positive family environment and had my program, my decision was set,” said Robin Michael Kniss.

Coach Etienne Jacquet told Saultsports.com that “I would like to welcome Robin Kniss to our program. While having conversations with Robin I can see that he will fit our program on and off the court. Robin is an individual that looks to better himself and is looking for an opportunity to prove that he can play at the university level. The forward from Germany, will provide support and provide size, defense, and athleticism to our front line. I believe he will be a great addition to our team and we can already see that he has a great work ethic in our virtual workouts. Robin will contribute positively to the Algoma Thunderbirds program.”
