The Sault College Cougars women’s volleyball team hit the road for the first time in the 2025–2026 OCAA season, traveling south to face the powerhouse Humber Hawks on Saturday, November 1st, and Sunday, November 2nd. Despite strong individual performances, the Cougars came up short in both matches against the defending champions.

In Saturday’s evening matchup, Humber swept Sault College 3–0 with set scores of 25–22, 25–9, and 25–13. Darby Sewell led the Cougars’ offense with five points, while Payton Baxter and Addie Tremblay each added four points in the loss. The Cougars showed flashes of strong play in the opening set but couldn’t sustain momentum against a deep and experienced Hawks lineup.

On Sunday, the Cougars once again battled hard but fell in straight sets (25–12, 25–18, 25–18). Avery Baxter and Addie Tremblay led the team with four points apiece, while Taryn Greco and Payton Baker chipped in with three points each. Sault College improved their consistency throughout the match but ultimately couldn’t overcome Humber’s front-row dominance and efficient serving.

The Cougars will continue their early-season road schedule next weekend when they travel to London to take on the Fanshawe Falcons in back-to-back OCAA matchups on Saturday, November 8th, and Sunday, November 9th.
