Over the September 27th and 28th weekend, the seventh-place Sault College Cougars hosted the second-place Fanshawe Falcons in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) action at home in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
The series opened on Saturday, September 27th, with the Falcons powering their way to a 9–2 victory in game one. Later that day, the Cougars bounced back in thrilling fashion, edging out Fanshawe 6–5 to even the series and deliver one of their most exciting wins of the season.
On Sunday, September 28th, the Falcons’ offense exploded, putting up 18 runs on the way to an 18–5 victory to take the weekend series two games to one.
The Cougars now turn their attention to the final weekend of the regular season. They will close out their 2025 OCAA schedule with a three-game set at home against the sixth-place Sheridan Bruins. The doubleheader is scheduled for Friday, October 10th, with first pitches at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., followed by the series finale on Saturday, October 11th, at 12:00 p.m.
