The Korah Colts delivered one of their strongest outings of the season on Wednesday night, powering their way to a decisive shutout victory over the CASS Huskies at the John Rhodes Community Centre. The offensive duo of Deago Campagna and Preston Miller stole the spotlight, each recording four-point performances to help guide the Colts to a convincing 8 – 0 win.

The opening period set the tone for Korah’s commanding night. At 8:26, Ryan Johnson buried his third goal of the season off a setup from Max Battacchio and Bodie Belair to give the Colts an early lead. Just minutes later, the Colts extended their advantage while shorthanded when Preston Miller intercepted a play and set up Koen Manchulenko, who sprung Miller for his first goal of the season to make it 2–0.

The second period belonged entirely to the Colts as they erupted for four goals. Campagna kicked things off at 12:47, notching his ninth of the year from Miller and Jackson Burrows. Only 24 seconds later, Campagna struck again, netting his 10th of the season—this time set up once more by the surging Miller, who was quickly amassing a multi-point night.

At 11:01, Kaidyn Beaird added his first of the season, finishing a play created by Burrows and Belair. The offensive onslaught continued at 4:20 when Tyler Lang made it 6–0, capitalizing on a sharp feed from Campagna, who continued to pile up points.

Campagna capped off his hat trick early in the third period, scoring his 11th of the season at 10:22 with Miller collecting yet another assist. Ryan Johnson sealed the victory with his second of the game and fourth of the season at 1:42, beating the Huskies’ defense and scoring unassisted to round out the Colts’ dominant night.

Between the pipes, Payton Melchiorre made a memorable season debut for Korah. In his first start of the 2025–2026 campaign, Melchiorre turned aside every CASS opportunity, earning his first shutout of the season while anchoring a near-flawless defensive performance.

CASS netminder Jack Unetic battled through sustained pressure but faced a relentless Colts attack from start to finish.

The Huskies will look to regroup quickly as they return to action on Friday, December 5th at 7:30 p.m. against the St. Mary’s Knights at the John Rhodes Centre. The Colts will also hit the ice that same evening, taking on the White Pines Wolverines in a 9:00 p.m. matchup, also at the John Rhodes Centre.
