In a stunning display of defensive prowess and unwavering determination, the fifth place (3-3) Sault U16 Sabercats delivered a commanding 49 – 0 shutout performance in their week eight east division ‘AA’ clash on the road in Peterborough against the ninth place (1-5) Peterborough Wolverines on Saturday, July 6th.
Facing the Wolverines on the field, the Sabercat players showcased their skill and resilience, holding their adversaries scoreless throughout the game. From the opening whistle to the final seconds, their defense stood strong, denying every attempt and ensuring their lead remained unbreached. This remarkable achievement not only highlights the dedication and teamwork of the Sault athletes, but also reaffirms their standing as a force to be reckoned with in the league.
