As is often the case in sports, the regular season saw its fair share of surprises and upsets with the Colts going undefeated and finishing first while the CASS Huskies held on for second place followed by the St Mary’s Knights in third while the Superior Heights Steelhawks finished fourth in the four team Sault Ste Marie High School League. The 2024 girls’ Sault Ste Marie High School League playoffs take to the ice on Wednesday, february 14th and Thursday, February 15th with the Colts facing the Steelhawks at the Pee Wee Arena at 3;00 p.m while the St Mary’s Knights take on the CASS Huskies at the Rankin Arena in a 3:00 p.m puck drop. The 2024 postseason format will be a one game semi – final with the winners facing off in a best of three series to begin Tuesday, February 20th at the Northern Community Centre in a 2:00 p.m start.
