“The mood in practice has been great last Thursday was easily our best practice of the year. The players showed lots of intensity and I think we are going to build off that this week leading into our first home game on May 27th against Peterborough. For the most part all of the offensive plays and defensive schemes we wanted to have in for week one are already installed now it’s just fine tuning things to ensure we are ready for 4:00 p.m on Saturday. Everyone is really eager for kick the season off it’s been a long two months of training camp and guys are excited to line up against players not wearing Sabercats colours” said varsity head coach Matt Premo.
After coming off a 36 – 22 exhibtion loss to the Thunder Bay Knights on May 20th, the junior varsity Sabercats will be their 2017 OFC season at 1:00 p.m against the junior Peterborough Wolverines at Superior Heights on the 27th.
