Steelhawks Shutout Colts in High School Hockey Action

The second place (2-1-1) Superior Heights Steelhawks and third place (2-0-0-2) Korah Colts closed out the month of November with a Sault Ste Marie High School Hockey match – up at the John Rhodes Centre on November 30th in regular season action.

At 8:51 of the second period, Jacob Tulloch fires a pass to Michael Guilani to give the Steelhawks a 1 – 0 lead for Superior Heights. Jordan Reda finds the back of Colt goaltender Colton Rooney’s net for the Steelhawks second of the game to give Superior Heights a 2 – 0 win over Korah. Josh Brunet had the contributor on Reda’s goal. Superior Height’s netminder Jacob Pattersen earned his first shutout of the 2017 – 2018 season in the Steelhawks win.

“It was a good team win against a very skilled team. I thought our goaltending and team defence were really good. We were opportunistic on offence and moved our feet all game. The high school league is very competitive this year. Our team still has work to do to get to the top of the standings. But I was proud of our compete level today” said Superior Heights coach Noah Rushon.

Superior Heights will take on the Central Algoma Huskies on December 3rd at the Essar Centre for a 6:00 p.m start while the Colts meet the St. Mary’s Knights in a 8:00 p.m puck drop at the Essar at 8:00 p.m on December 3rd.
