Steel City Slam Partners with Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program

In partnership with Canada Basketball, Steel City Slam basketball club is proud to offer a fantastic youth basketball programming initiative to the residents of Sault Ste. Marie. Steve Nash Youth Basketball (SNYB) is the official grassroots youth basketball program of Canada Basketball, designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and a love of the sport.

The goal of the program is to allow participants the opportunity to maximize their potential, while promoting the importance of youth basketball as a vehicle to build character, discipline, self-esteem and sportsmanship while having fun. The program follows the guidelines of Sport Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD).

Who Can Participate: Boys and girls born in 2007, 2008, and 2009

When: Session 1 begins Sunday April 30th from 11:30 a.m – 12:30 p.m at White Pines Collegiate

Sessions: will be Sundays at White Pines (11:30 a.m – 12:30 p.m) and some Wednesday’s at Korah Collegiate (6:00 p.m – 7:00 p.m)

Schedule: Be posted at www.steelcityslam.ca and will be handed out at Session#1

Cost: $80.00 (players will receive a SNYB jersey and basketball)
