Soo Night Hawks Baseball Team Wins Two in St. Ignace, Michigan

The Soo Night Hawks baseball team continued their season with a double header versus St. Ignace Varsity Baseball team in St. Ignace Michigan on Saturday April 30th.  The Night Hawks won the opener 9 to 7 and than mercied St. Ignace in the second game 19 to 5.

In the opener Zach Duchesne picked up the win with 3 and 2/3 innings of relief work allowing no hits or runs and striking out five. Offensively Braedon Whalen led the way going 3 for 3 with a double two runs scored and three RBI’s. Tyler Sayers, Joe Maclean, and Brennan Mitchell each had a pair of hits; also picking up hits were Brandon Boyer, and Dylan Sewell.

In game two Noah Pearce picked up the win with 3 innings pitched.

Offensively Brennan Mitchell and Jarrid Smith led the way with three hits a piece. Braedon Whalen and Cole Wright chipped in two hits a piece.  Also picking up hits in the victory were Dylan Sewell, Noah Pearce, Tyler Sayers, Noah Belec, and Noah O’Brien.

Noah Pearce scored three times and Brennan Mitchell, Jarrid Smith, Cole Wright, and Noah Belec all contributed three RBI’s.
