The (2 – 1) Korah Colts and (2 – 1) St. Mary’s Knights rounded out the month of September in a senior high school football match – up at Superior Heights on September 30th. 42-15
Fifth year Jarret Litalien scored three touchdowns for the Colts in their 42 – 15 win over the Knights on Friday evening. Litalien’s four catches included two touchdowns on a 52 and 14 yard catches along with a 100 yard return after a Colt interception. Korah quarterback Michael Byron found Tyler Legro on a 19 yard pass for a Colt touchdown. Byron carried the ball five times on 58 yards for the Colts. Shane Charron finished the game with eight carries on 44 yards that included a 26 yard Korah touchdown run. Ryan Yost added 120 yards on nine carries for the Colts that included a 60 yard touchdown interception run. Korah’s Andrew Grawbarger kicked six extra points for the Colts.
Knight Dalton Toppan had both touchdowns for St. Mary’s with catching a 25 yard pass that included a 65 yard run along with a 40 yard run touchdown. Parker St. Onge lead to Knights with 19 carries for a total of 55 yards along with quarterback Greg Caruso carrying the ball five times on 30 yards. Caruso had four completions on 12 attempts for a total of 90 yards.
On defence, Byron Pine had five tackle and recovered two on – side kicks. Jason St. Louis, Jared Strachan and Nick Fowler all finished the game with four tackles each for the Knights.
In week five action, the Colts will the Steelhawks on October 6th while the Knights will meet the White Pines Wolverines on October 7th with both games taking place at Superior Heights in 4:15 p.m kick – offs.
