The Cambrian Nissan Midget Black Sox swept the Sudbury Midget Rep Team on Saturday afternoon in exhibition action. The Black Sox opened the twin bill with a 10 - 5 win and completed the sweep with a 9 - 1 win in game two. In game one, Trevor Sayers had four hits to pace the Black Sox attack. Jordan Pine added three hits with a pair of singles and a double while Jeb Pallot and Cody Yardanoff chipped in with two singles each. Coty Anderson got the start on the mound and struck out five in four innings of work while Pallot came on for the final three innings and also struck out five Sudbury batters. In game two, the Black Sox got a single and a double from Pallot while Anderson and Dana Lesage chipped in with two singles each in the win. Pine walked twice in the win as well. Sudbury’s Tyson Taoscinski had three singles in the game two loss. The sweep capped off four exhibition games against Sudbury that saw the locals split a double header a week earlier in Sudbury. The Black Sox now find themselves preparing for the OBA Provincial Championships which kick off on Aug. 24th in Stratford, Ont. Â
