Echo Bay, Ontario Native Jarrett Burton Resigns with AHL Penguins

Echo Bay, Ontario native Jarrett Burton has re – signed with the American Hockey League’s Wilke – Barre Scranton Penguins for the 2017 – 2018 AHL season.

In 39 regular season games with the Penguins, the 26 year old Burton sank seven goals and added four assists in Wilke – Barre in 2016 – 2017 along with scoring four goals and contributing on six with his January 4th to February 4th stay in Wheeling with the ECHL Nailers.

In his four seasons at Clarkson University, the Echo Bay native totalled 28 goals and had 26 assists with the NCAA DI Golden Knights in 141 games. In 141 games with the Golden Knights, Burton accumulated 91 minutes in penalties.

As a 17 year old, Jarrett played for the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Blind River Beavers in 48 regular season games during the 2007 – 2008 NOJHL season.
