The Bobcats got on the board early and often in Eastern Upper Peninsula Football League action in Engadine, Michigan in their first series with the offense moving the ball through the air as Drew Viotto connected with Mike Nicoletta on a throw and catch for the first score of the game to go up 6 – 0. Nicoletta scored the two point conversion to go up 8 – 0 for the Bobcats. Mike Nicoletta scored six touchdowns on the day scoring three through the air and three on the ground.
Nicoletta had 185 yards rushing on the day on 12 carries and six catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Drew Viotto had 18 completions on 20 attempts on the day throwing for 273 yards and three touchdown passes with no interceptions and a two point convert. Seamus Parlow caught six passes for 50 yards as Gavin Smith had three catches for 45 yards. Adrian Gioa had three catches for 30 yards and a two point conversion.
On the defensive side, the Bobcats were stifling as they held the Eagles to five first downs on the day. Ryan Barnes led the defence with nine tackles, as Caden Mcleod had seven tackles, Aaron Grandinetti added six tackles on the day and Cole Mcbain chipped in with five tackles and an interception. Nick Carter had an interception on the day with three tackles. The Bobcats were up 30 – 0 in the first half and were able to continue to roll in the second half winning with a 42 – 8 win and to improve their record to 2 – 2 on the season.
The Bobcats travel to Detour, Michgan on October 8th to play the Rudyard Bulldogs.
